LONDON, Nov. 4, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Based on its recent analysis of the contrast autoinjectors market, Frost & Sullivan recognizes ulrich medical with the 2015 European Frost & Sullivan Award for Competitive Strategy Innovation and Leadership. ulrich medical's innovative autoinjector products have evolved as the first patented commercial units with roll pump technology for the delivery of contrast media during medical imaging diagnosis.
The unique patented design principle of the roll pump system in ulrich medical's autoinjector enables potential savings of costs of disposables and personnel compared to conventional double piston injectors or power injectors.

ulrich medical's products aid high performance and low consumption, as they can perform several injections from just one contrast media container with the help of the pump hose. This technology makes it possible to prepare the injector once daily for use, and considerably lessens the changeover-time between patients. Besides, the automatic filling of the patient hose with sodium chloride (NaCl) after each injection decreases the wastage of contrast media/agent while changing the patient hose.
"With ulrich medical's autoinjectors, the contrast agent and NaCl are supplied directly from the contrast agent manufacturer's container, and if a container gets emptied during the application procedure, the procedure is automatically continued from another container, without causing any wastage," noted Kompalli.
The autoinjector also boasts software and touch sensitivity. It employs inventive software for CT/MRI and angiography examinations, with a multitude of user-friendly and touch-terminal functions integrated into the respective imaging systems.
