Fuddruckers® Hatches A New Menu Item To Send-Off The Summer

HOUSTON, Aug. 21, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Fuddruckers has created a spicy send off to the summer with a regionally-inspired Hatch Chile Burger that aims to heat up the home of the "World's Greatest Hamburgers"® through the early fall.  Just introduced and available while supplies last, the delectable dish partners always fresh and never frozen, 100% USDA premium-cut beef with the New Mexican fruit known for its meaty flesh and mild-medium flavor profile.  The menu rollout coincides with the Hatch Chile's peak season, which begins in mid-to-late August.

According to Anthony C. Foroi, the Corporate Executive Chef for Fuddruckers Restaurants, LLC, "In addition to its seasonality, we chose to highlight the Hatch Chile for the great taste and texture it brings to a burger."

While many restaurants incorporate chopped chiles in dishes, resulting in higher water content and associated lessening of the natural flavor, Foroi's recipe calls for full peppers, which are grilled to perfection to further enhance the experience for diners.

The Hatch Chile Burger is completed with the chef's recommendation of a slice of Monterey Jack jalapeno cheese and signature, baked from scratch sesame-topped bun.  A trip to the legendary Build Your Own® produce bar cools things off with a fantastic array of fixings, including sun-ripened tomatoes, lettuce, sliced onions, dill pickles, pico de gallo and Fuddruckers cheese sauce.  Guests can also chill out with an icy soda, frosty beer or shake.
