FuelCloud Awarded US Patent for Fuel Management Technology
Patent covers authorization to activate fuel pump using wireless communication devices
NEWBERG, Ore., May 9, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- FuelCloud, Inc. (FuelCloud) has been granted US Patent NO. 10,210,696 by the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) in recognition of the company's unique approach to fuel management technology. The patent covers the combination of hardware, online software, and mobile applications to authorize transactions and monitor fuel inventory.
"We started FuelCloud to build a better way to manage fuel, and this patent is validation that we're doing something truly special," said Kevin Bretthauer, VP of Sales at FuelCloud. "We will continue to develop - and patent - new technology to improve how organizations monitor and manage their fuel."
FuelCloud's cloud-based fuel management system uses lightweight hardware, a web-based dashboard, and a mobile app to give organizations complete visibility and control over their fuel use. Managers can replace traditional card-lock systems with FuelCloud's mobile app authorization, and all transaction data is uploaded in real-time to the FuelCloud dashboard for simple monitoring and reporting. Organizations that use FuelCloud reduce the hours needed to manage fuel distribution and monitor transactions, protect their fuel inventory from theft or undetected slippage, and have more control over fuel access.
