G6 Hospitality Gives Back With A Unique Team Building Exercise

LAS VEGAS, Sept. 15, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- G6 Hospitality, the recognized leader in economy lodging known for the iconic brands Motel 6 and Studio 6, challenged its annual conference attendees to put their essential team building skills to work to benefit the Disabled American Veterans (DAV). Strong comradery, determination and a positive competitive spirit fueled the teams as they raced for the fastest time to assemble 85 wheelchairs, which were then donated to DAV, a nonprofit charity that provides support for veterans and their families.

The charity driven team building exercise was held during G6 Hospitality's Annual Brand Convention, which took place September 12-15 at the Cosmopolitan Hotel in Las Vegas. Amidst keynote speeches, networking events and work sessions attended by more than 1,600 franchisees, executives and special guests, the attendees were invited to participate in a special collaborative activity. Several teams first learned about the materials and techniques needed to build a wheelchair, and then challenged each other in a timed competition that included assembling, decorating and testing the wheelchair they built together.
