("Oaktree"), today announced the appointment of Scott Hoek as Vice President and Head of Fixtures, Furniture & Equipment (FF&E).
In this role, Scott will enhance GA Group's capabilities in helping retailers, commercial property managers, REITs, and institutional clients optimize and monetize FF&E assets. Drawing on extensive industry experience, Scott will also broaden the firm's service offering by delivering end-to-end solutions for store openings and remodels in collaboration with GA Group's Retail, Merchant & Industrial Solutions teams.
Scott brings more than 25 years of executive leadership experience spanning retail asset recovery, store-fixture liquidation and harvesting, retail decommissioning, warehousing and logistics, project management, and national business development. Over the course of his career, he has built and scaled organizations serving retailers, liquidators, fixture manufacturers, asset-recovery firms, and commercial clients.
"Scott is an accomplished builder of businesses, teams, and national service platforms," said Joe Malfitano, President & Head of Retail, Merchant, and Industrial Solutions. "His deep expertise in FF&E optimization and monetization strategies makes him exceptionally well suited to complement the existing teams across the GA Group platform and to lead this important growth initiative. We are pleased to welcome him to GA Group as we expand our capabilities and deliver even greater value to our clients."
Before joining GA Group, Scott served as Vice President at another national firm where he launched and grew a national services division focused on fixture liquidation, harvesting, installation, removal, retail decommissioning, and recovery-and-resale programs. He previously held senior leadership roles at two other asset disposition firms and founded Fixture Finders, which grew into the largest dealer of used Lozier shelving in the United States.
"I am excited to join GA Group and help expand a best-in-class FF&E platform," said Scott Hoek, Vice President and Head of Fixtures, Furniture & Equipment. "The opportunity to combine strategic business development, operational excellence, asset recovery, and sustainable disposition solutions is compelling.
