GainSpan and Future Electronics Sign Global Distribution Agreement

SAN JOSE, Calif., May 14, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- GainSpan^® Corporation, a leader in ultra-low power Wi-Fi connectivity for the Internet of Things, today announced that it has signed a worldwide distribution partnership with Future Electronics, a global leader in electronics distribution, to help expand and focus its existing distribution network.

GainSpan needed a large distributor that is aligned with its MCU partners. GainSpan believes that Future Electronics has a focused program in demand creation that aligns well with the company's objectives. Future will provide comprehensive sales, support and fulfillment services for GainSpan's portfolio of low-power Wi-Fi modules, evaluation boards, and application development kits (ADKs).  This includes the company's recently announced GS2011M Wi-Fi/ZigBee IP module. GainSpan's solutions make it quick, easy and cost effective for device and appliance manufacturers to add Wi-Fi connectivity to their products.
