GALA SPA AWARDS 2014: Application Phase for GALA Anniversary Year Top Event Now Open

Innovative concepts and products can now be submitted  

Fantastic spa locations and luxury hotels, innovative beauty products and extraordinary treatments are once again being sought for the GALA SPA AWARDS, which are awarded at Brenners Park-Hotel & Spa in spring 2014. Companies from more than 30 countries can submit their unique care concepts and feel-good locations for consideration in the important international beauty and spa awards by August 31, 2013. Companies from Iceland and Oman will be able to take part in the competition for the first time this year. The GALA SPA AWARDS 2014 are one of the top events of the GALA anniversary year. The people magazine celebrates its 20th anniversary next year.

Applicants can submit the required documents via http://www.gala.de/spa-awards for one of seven categories: Luxury Concepts, Innovation Concepts, Cult Concepts, Men Concepts, Treatment Concepts, Luxury Hotel City/Resort, and Innovative Spa Concepts. Applications can only be submitted online. Additional awards include the "Beauty Idol" and "Special Prize" which are awarded to outstanding personalities.

The award ceremony in our anniversary year will be more glamorous than ever. The GALA SPA AWARDS will be awarded in Baden-Baden on March 15, 2014. As part of a glamorous ceremony attended by well-known guests, a range of care products, hotels, and spas that meet the requirements of the sanus per aquam (= health through water) concept and stand out due to an outstanding innovative performance will be honored.

Special highlights of the evening in 2014 will once again be the announcement of the winners of the "Beauty Idol" award and the "Special Price". The "Beauty Idol" award honors a celebrity who stands out due to his or her positive attitude to life and lifestyle in accordance with the spa concept, and who has a special aura. "Beauty Idol" award winners from recent years include Toni Garrn, Julie Delpy, Karolina Kurkova, and Alek Wek, among others. The most recent "Special Prize" was awarded to Philippe Pierre Cousteau, grandson of French oceanographer and filmmaker, Jacques-Yves Cousteau. The scientist, social entrepreneur and advocate of the resource-saving use of water continues the legacy of his grandfather.
