Gassaway Joins Cassidy Turley to Lead Carolinas

CHARLOTTE, N.C., May 25, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Cassidy Turley, a leading commercial real estate services provider in the U.S., today announced that 28-year industry veteran Steven H. Gassaway will join the firm as Regional Managing Principal of the Carolinas, effective June 1.  Mr. Gassaway joins Cassidy Turley from CB Richard Ellis where he managed the Charlotte region of 250 employees including Brokerage, Capital Markets, Corporate Outsourcing and Property Management.

In his new capacity, Mr. Gassaway will be responsible for directing the growth, management and operations of the firm's Charlotte and Raleigh offices.   Rob Cochran, who has served as the Managing Principal of Cassidy Turley's Charlotte office for the past 13 years, will focus his efforts on leading the firm's Capital Markets Group in the Carolinas. David Finger will continue as the Managing Principal of the Raleigh office.

Mr. Gassaway began his commercial real estate career with CB Richard Ellis' Baltimore office in 1983. Since relocating to Charlotte in 1995, he has led the Charlotte office of two national commercial real estate firms, Trammell Crow Company and CB Richard Ellis. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Lafayette College and a Master of Business Administration from Lehigh University.

Mr. Gassaway is a licensed real estate broker in North and South Carolina. In 2010, he served as President of the Charlotte Region Commercial Board of Realtors.  He is currently an active office member of the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR) and a member of the board of directors for the Charlotte Regional Partnership. In civic circles, Mr. Gassaway is a volunteer and director on several area nonprofit boards.
