GasTech played a leading role in getting Sky High off the ground in Tulsa, and has supported and hosted 3 golf tournaments, a clay shoot, and two major luncheons', which raised critical funds for children battling cancer at Saint Francis Hospital's Camp Strong, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, and Texas Children's Hospital.
"GasTech Engineering is more than a sponsor—they are a true grassroots partner," said Brittany Franklin, CEO & Founder of Sky High for Kids. "Their team shows up, has been a committed donor, and rallies their network across Oklahoma, Louisiana, and Texas. With allies like GasTech, we are building a future without childhood cancer."
Spearheading the effort were event co-chairs Lilac Guzman, Executive Vice President at GasTech Engineering, and Carlos Conerly, Vice President at ISTI Plant Services. Together, they inspired a coalition of business leaders, volunteers, and donors to go beyond sponsorship and take real ownership in the fight.
"This isn't just philanthropy—it's impact you can measure in lives," said Lilac Guzman, Executive Vice President of GasTech Engineering. "Sky High for Kids is our charity of choice because it provides direct support to deserving families and advances groundbreaking research. As we prepare for the 2026 Tulsa Golf Tournament on April 13th, 2026, we invite sponsors, volunteers, and community leaders to join us in this vital mission."
For Carlos Conerly, the cause is deeply personal. A 2007 Stage IV stomach cancer survivor himself, Carlos understands firsthand the physical and emotional toll of the disease.
"I know what it's like to fight cancer—and I also know the power of having people show up for you," said Conerly. "This isn't just an event to me. It's a way to honor the kids still fighting and to show them they're not alone. That's why Sky High's mission matters, and why I'll keep showing up for it."
Alongside Guzman and Conerly, the event saw strong backing from local organizations and leaders including executives from Vital Energy, Williams, ISTI Plant Services, Sherwin-Williams, Targa, Osage Nation, and continued support from Tulsa Firefighters Association, whose involvement has helped the auction efforts grow year over year.
