Gazpromneft-Aero Increases Refuelling in United Arab Emirates

Gazpromneft-Aero, the aviation fuel operator of Gazprom Neft, has started to provide refuelling services for regular Aeroflot flights at one of the largest airports in the world - in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE). This has allowed the company to double its monthly refuelling volume in the UAE since July this year, to 400 tons per month at present.

Currently the Gazpromneft-Aero aviation refuelling network includes seven airports in the most important tourist and business centres of the UAE. Refuelling in this country is carried out in accordance with an agreement signed between Gazpromneft-Aero and ENOC (the Emirates National Oil Company) in 2013 for aviation fuel supplies to its network. The agreement provides for guaranteed supplies of Russian customers of Gazpromneft-Aero at UAE airports, as well as ENOC customers at airports serviced by Gazpromneft-Aero in Russia and the CIS.

BACKGROUND 

Gazpromneft-Aero is a Gazprom Neft subsidiary. The Company has been refuelling aircraft and conducting "into the wing" aviation fuel sales since January 1, 2008. Gazpromneft-Aero has been a strategic partner of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) in the field of aviation fuel supply since December, 2008. As of the end of 2014, the volume of aviation fuel sales abroad amounted to 290,000 tons, up 32% from 2013. In line with the Gazpromneft-Aero strategy, the company plans to expand its international sales network up to 200 airports by 2025.
