GBST Welcomes Capital Markets Expert to Its US Team

NEW YORK, July 7, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- GBST (ASX: GBT), a leading global provider of securities transaction and fund administration software for the financial services industry, today announced that Gregory McDonald has joined the company's Americas team as Head of Product Strategy.

Mr. McDonald has 15 years of specialized industry experience, holding positions ranging from product strategy to process improvement focused on Middle Office, Finance and Operations. Prior to joining GBST, he served as Senior Vice President of Capital Markets Middle Office for Citigroup where he was responsible for Middle Office Line Oversight across Capital Markets with an emphasis on developing initiatives to strengthen trading and operational controls. Concurrently, he was also Head of the Global Securitized Markets Middle office group and oversaw operational support for Mortgage Trading and Whole Loans. Prior to joining Citi in 2010, Mr. McDonald managed the Insurance Products and ABCP Conduit Operations groups at Barclays Capital. He also held various roles at Lehman Brothers including overseeing the Insurance Middle Office and Principal Investing Middle Office as well as serving as a Controller in Lehman's Finance Division.

Reporting directly to Barry Raskin, CEO of GBST's Americas Business, Mr. McDonald says he will concentrate on helping GBST continue expanding its business reach, particularly across North America. "The fact that GBST takes a progressive and innovative approach to development, and is not tied down to any legacy technology or infrastructure means we are able to offer our customers something most others can't -- flexibility. We can adapt our offering to meet the unique needs of each market," he explains.
