The event, which will be held from 8 to 11 a.m., will give buyers access to some of the region's leading industry experts who will discuss a diverse range of issues influencing Illinois' electricity market. Highlights will include an update on the state of competition in Illinois, an overview of the Midwest ISO, and insight on upcoming changes that will impact the region's capacity market.
Jim Larranaga, Head Coach of the men's basketball team for the University of Miami, will serve as the event's keynote speaker, sharing leadership and teamwork strategies that apply both on and off the court. Coach Larranaga won the 2013 AP and Naismith Coach of the Year awards.
Other seminar presenters include:

A moderated question-and-answer session will follow the presentations. David Braun, Regional Vice President of Sales-Midwest for GDF SUEZ Energy Resources, will moderate the panel, which will also include Karen Dietz, MISO Portfolio Manager for GDF SUEZ.
"Although the market in central and southern Illinois has always been dynamic, upcoming changes in the way capacity is handled will present some real challenges for anyone responsible for buying electricity in the region," said Braun. "This seminar will equip attendees with the knowledge they need to meet those challenges, and make intelligent and informed decisions when it comes to managing costs and usage in light of these new issues."
