Geneca Announces the Promotion of David Katauskas to Chief Technology Officer

OAKBROOK TERRACE, Ill., Sept. 6, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Custom software development firm, Geneca, is proud to announce the promotion of David Katauskas from Client Partner to Chief Technology Officer.  In his new role, Mr. Katauskas sets the tone and direction for Geneca's technologies, best practices and capabilities.

As a key member of Geneca's executive team, Mr. Katauskas provides the technical vision to support Geneca's business vision and will drive the development of Geneca's service offerings, including the firm's highly regarded Getting Predictable(SM) approach to software development.  Additionally, he will play an active role in helping Genecians stay focused on success for clients, Geneca and themselves.

A 20-year software veteran, Mr. Katauskas has deep expertise across diverse industry sectors and government. His experience ranges from software developer, enterprise architect, and system designer to IT strategist and client partner. David came to Geneca from Retail Vision Systems, an innovative leader in retail merchandising, where he was CTO. Prior to that, David was Director of the Professional Services Division at Advanced Distribution Solutions and a Senior Application Architect at custom software development firm, Geneer.

David is on the Lewis University's Computer Science Advisory Board. He frequently leads workshops on software best practices, business and architecture and has authored several white papers on these topics.
