Minister Petr Katsyv has been awarded with an Order of Merit for the Moscow region and with a Badge of Honor of the Moscow Regional Duma for his contributions to the Greater Moscow area development.
On 26 February 2013, the head of the General Directorate of the Moscow Region for Cooperation with Federal Public Authorities, Minister Petr Katsyv was awarded with an Order of Merit for the Moscow region and with a Badge of Honor of the Moscow Regional Duma for his contributions to the development of the Greater Moscow area. The awards were presented by the Acting Governor of the Moscow region Andrey Vorobyov and by the Chairman of the Moscow Regional Duma Igor Bryntsalov.
After graduating from the Moscow State Automobile and Road Technical University with a PHD in engineering, Petr Katsyv began his career working in the development of passenger safety. He then became the Chief of traffic safety and later, the Moscow region Minister of Transport (2001-2012).
Since 2012 he has also held the position as the Head of the Main Department of the Moscow Region for Cooperation with Federal Authorities.
