General Dynamics Opens Cyber Intel Facility Near Ft. Meade

ANNAPOLIS JUNCTION, Md., Jan. 19, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- General Dynamics (NYSE: GD) opened its new Cyber and Intelligence Solutions Center in Annapolis Junction today. The 28,000 square foot facility houses ample space for technical demonstrations and collaborative meetings and brings together the full breadth of General Dynamics' cyber capabilities. The new facility also features an EDGE® Innovation Center, part of a General Dynamics-sponsored worldwide innovation network leveraging industry investments in technology to rapidly fill gaps in capability.

Built to serve the unique needs of the U.S. Department of Defense and the intelligence community, the Cyber and Intelligence Solutions Center provides a highly secure and flexible environment for customers at the Ft. Meade-based National Security Agency and U.S. Cyber Command as well as federal and civilian industry partners focused on protecting the nation's intelligence and thwarting threats in cyberspace.

The center will employ up to 100 cyber professionals.  This is in addition to the 8,000 General Dynamics workers already employed in Maryland and the national capital region.
