OVERLAND PARK, Kan., April 3, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Generation Technologies Corporation (GTC) has selected Cavern Technologies to provide a colocation network operation and datacenter to serve the growing demand for NIMxchange.

NIMxchange is GTC's cloud based digital/media asset management (DAM/MAM) and content distribution network technology (CDN) that delivers breaking and fast turnaround news and sports video clips to more than 350 television news stations, agencies and networks across the U.S. and abroad.

This expansion is driven by the migration of broadcasters from legacy, capital intensive satellite, leased line, and private point-to-point content interchange systems to cloud based services that require little or no capital investment.

The addition of this colocation facility marks another milestone for GTC as they securely extend their lead in file based broadcast news and sports content distribution.
