GenNx360 Capital Partners Announces Appointment of Latasha M. Akoma as Operating Partner

NEW YORK, Feb. 18, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- GenNx360 Capital Partners, a private equity firm focused on investing in middle market business-to-business industrial and business services companies, announced today that Latasha M. Akoma has joined as Operating Partner effective February 17, 2014. Latasha reports to Lloyd G. Trotter, Founding and Managing Partner. Latasha will focus on driving strong performance, operational efficiencies and profitability across the GenNx portfolio companies in addition to working with its deal team to identify and evaluate new opportunities. 

Latasha is a detailed and process oriented professional with over 19 years of managerial experience leading safety, quality, cost and customer service improvements, certified in applying Lean Six Sigma applications in production settings. She brings strong leadership, management, and technical experience in executing business strategies to achieve operational excellence. Most recently, Latasha held several management posts at Harley-Davidson Motor Company. She joined as Director of Manufacturing Operations in 2009, with responsibility for a 425,000 sq. ft. facility which included five production areas and a 120,000 sq. ft. Material Velocity Center. She quickly advanced to the position of General Manager in 2011 where she was responsible for two facilities encompassing 192,000 sq. ft. over 96 acres. Prior to joining Harley-Davidson, Latasha was Senior Manager of Paint Operations at Chrysler (formerly DaimlerChrysler) where she held a variety of increasing senior leadership positions in operations and general management. 

Latasha holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Energy & Robotics from Howard University and an M.S. in Engineering Management from the University of Michigan.
