GenNx360 Capital Partners Announces Appointment of Otis Spencer, Jr. as Operating Partner

NEW YORK, Jan. 6, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- GenNx360 Capital Partners, a private equity firm focused on investing in middle market business-to-business industrial and business services companies, announced today that Otis Spencer, Jr. has been appointed Operating Partner effective January 2, 2014.  Otis reports to Lloyd G. Trotter, Founding and Managing Partner.

Otis will have the primary directive of creating value by driving operational execution within the GenNx360 portfolio.  In addition, Otis will work with the GenNx360 investment team to identify and evaluate new platform opportunities, conducting strategic and operational analysis of potential deals as well as business model sustainability. 

Otis has over 23 years of operating experience in many of GenNx360's focus industries, such as, industrial manufacturing, logistics, transportation components, defense, specialty chemicals, and oil and gas. Prior to joining GenNx360, Otis was Manufacturing Strategy & Operations Advisor at WBS Financial, Inc., where he was involved in the development of strategic post-transaction operational plans, and advised on the effectiveness of manufacturing, quality control, planning and engineering. Otis also advised on environmental, health and safety (EH&S) matters, supply chain processes and was lead advisor in organizational structure and executive staff recruitment. 

Otis began his career in the United States Army where he served from 1990 to 2003 and held numerous executive and operational leadership roles, including Director of Administration and Operations in Iraq and Kuwait where he was awarded the Bronze Star Medal for his outstanding leadership in the highly successful first-ever wartime employment of a containerized fuel pipeline and terminal distribution system.  Prior positions include Vice President of Defense Operations for Varec, Inc., a world leader in instrumentation, automation solutions for the oil & gas, defense, and aviation industries; and General Manager at TAMKO Building Products, a manufacturer of roofing products, waterproofing products, composite decking and railing systems, and cements & coatings.

Otis holds a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from the University of Alabama and an M.B.A. from Saint Martin's University in Washington.
