GeoIntelX and the Society of Economic Geologists (SEG) Partner to Transform 100 Years of Geological Knowledge into AI-Driven Mineral Exploration Intelligence

DOVER, Del., Sept. 29, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- GeoIntelX announced today a strategic partnership with the Society of Economic Geologists (SEG). Through this collaboration, more than 100 years of SEG publications, including technical research papers, maps, figures, and geological datasets will be integrated into GeoIntelX's AI-powered geospatial intelligence platform, GIX.

Geoscientists and executives using the GIX platform will be able to query trained AI agents with complex geological and exploration questions about specific spatial regions they delineate on a map. They will quickly receive contextual answers that accurately and securely integrate a century of SEG knowledge with an array of public datasets, the users' own proprietary data, and powerful AI computational abilities.

This follows the recent partnership announcement between NewMed Energy and GeoIntelX on their collaboration to accelerate natural gas exploration and production using the GIX AI platform. 

Instead of manually reviewing thousands of reports and publications, teams will be able to collaborate and interact directly with geological knowledge — asking complex questions across geological models and basins, to rapidly receive detailed answers complete with references and explanations.

By structuring, enriching, geotagging, and connecting SEG's world-renowned geological content with GeoIntelX's AI and geospatial technologies, exploration teams and researchers will be able to uncover hidden insights, accelerate technical evaluations and reporting, reduce exploration risk, and significantly improve the discovery process for critical minerals and energy resources.

The official launch is planned for the SEG 2026 Conference in Salt Lake City in September 2026.
