Attendees will hear from an executive recruiting specialist on what it takes to become a top candidate in today's competitive public relations market. Whether you're just beginning your career or are ready to step into the C-Suite, professionals at all levels can benefit from knowing current trends that impact hiring and personal development strategies to build key skills that are most in demand. Executive recruiter Lisa Ryan, SVP and Managing Director for Heyman Associates, a New York-based executive search firm, will share the secrets of what makes a candidate rise to the top and capitalize on opportunities open to today's professionals.

Ryan oversees executive searches in corporate communications, public relations, marketing communications, branding and public affairs for the firm's blue-chip clients, including Fortune 500 corporations and nonprofit organizations. Her industry expertise includes healthcare, consumer products, manufacturing and academic institutions, and she has worked with organizations including executive search firm The Cantor Concern, NutriSystem, Thomas Jefferson University and Widener University. PRSA Georgia (www.prsageorgia.org), the second-largest local chapter in the national society, consists of some 850 professionals throughout Georgia.
