Enhanced DensDeck® Prime Roof Boards – featuring the mold resistance, fire resistance, strength and dimensional stability of the industry-leading DensDeck Roof Boards product family – provide broader compatibility and greater performance with roofing adhesives. In adhered, single ply membrane testing, enhanced DensDeck Prime demonstrated an average of 24 percent better bond strength than the original product, when using solvent based adhesives (average based on 60 sq. ft./gal. coverage rates).
With this enhancement, DensDeck Prime allows adhesives to be applied more evenly and uniformly. As a result, the amount of adhesive used and the labor needed to apply it is potentially reduced. The new mats also make the board easier to cut and handle throughout application, and provide a cleaner, more consistent appearance to the finished roof.
In addition, new ½" and 5/8" DensDeck Prime are the first and only fiberglass mat gypsum roof boards with a 90-day limited warranty for exposure to normal weather conditions when installed vertically on a parapet wall.

- Face mat now overlaps onto the backside of the board, providing a cleaner joint and overall smoother and uniform appearance when the membrane is laid over the cover board
