Gerald Forrest's GospelChops.com Releases "Bass Sessionz Vol. 2"

SACRAMENTO, Calif., April 25, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- It was revered jazz bassist Charlie Haden who once said, "When the bass stops, the bottom kind of drops out of everything." Judging by the latest endeavor of GospelChops.com creator Gerald Forrest, he couldn't agree with Haden more. Forrest, who has received international acclaim for his expanding performance/instruction "Sessionz" series, has released the second epic edition. This time around, it's all about the bodacious bass! Forrest selected four young brilliant bassists and put them on a sound stage in Burbank, CA for the filming of "Bass Sessionz Vol. 2" (BSV2). "Bass Sessionz Vol. 2" features the talents of Mark Peric from Brisbane, Australia (Planetshakers), Brandon Brown from Memphis, TN (Jessica Simpson, American Idol, The Jacksons Tour), Anthony Crawford from Memphis, TN (Allan Holdsworth, Anthony Crawford Band), and recent Berklee College of Music graduate, Joshua Young from Queens, NY.

BSV2 showcases mind-blowing bass solos and duets, incredible improvisational jam sessions, concert footage, photo slide shows and a dazzling bass trio salute to Michael Jackson. In addition, the bass players are individually highlighted teaching one of their favorite bass chops during an instructional lesson.
