Gerard McNamara Joins Korn/Ferry International As Senior Client Partner

LOS ANGELES, April 4, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Korn/Ferry International (NYSE:KFY), a premier global provider of talent management solutions, today announced that Gerard McNamara has joined the firm as a Senior Client Partner in the firm's Financial Services Practice and CIO Center of Expertise. He will be based in Korn/Ferry's New York office.  

Mr. McNamara joins Korn/Ferry from an international recruiting firm, where previously served in roles as an Office Managing Partner and Global Practice Managing Partner. He brings to Korn/Ferry strong executive recruiting credentials, having worked closely with CEOs, CIOs, managing directors and executive vice presidents, with a focus on senior technology and operations functions.

Mr. McNamara is a surviving passenger of US Airways Flight 1549, which made an emergency landing on New York's Hudson River on Jan. 15, 2009.

In addition to his recruiting experience, Mr. McNamara spent more than 15 years in information technology with IBM, where he held several high-level sales, marketing, service and operations positions. Before embarking on a corporate career, Gerry held the rank of captain in the United States Marine Corps.

Mr. McNamara holds a master's degree in human resources management from Pepperdine University, and a bachelor's degree from Mt. St. Mary's University. He is also a graduate of the U.S. Marine Corps Officer Candidate School, and has completed a program on executive leadership at Harvard Business School.
