NEW YORK, June 2, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Gert Koerner has joined STV as a vice president in the firm's Construction Management Division. He will be based in the firm's New York City office and report directly to Steve Pressler, executive vice president and chief operating officer of the Construction Management Division.
Koerner is serving as the project manager for STV's work on the capital improvements at the Delta Airlines terminals at John F. Kennedy International Airport. STV is part of a joint venture on this project, and the firm is serving as the construction manager.
Koerner is a construction management professional with more than 30 years experience in the industry and has managed teams and projects on the east and west coasts. He has vast experience in aviation projects, correctional facilities, retail, residential buildings, and casinos. His work includes the Global Gateway project at Newark Liberty International Airport in New Jersey, and the international arrivals terminal at JFK International Airport in Queens, NY.
Prior to joining STV, Koerner was a senior vice president at a construction management firm with offices in Philadelphia and Washington, DC, which focused on public projects. Prior to that, he spent most of his career with a firm that specialized in preconstruction consulting, construction management, construction consulting and program management.
Koerner earned a bachelor's degree in economics from Temple University and a bachelor's degree in engineering from Drexel University.
