"Too often people with different beliefs or backgrounds focus solely on those differences," said Dave Mortensen, the president and a co-founder of Anytime Fitness. "What's more important is what we all share in common: a desire to lead happy, healthy lives while spending time with the people we love."
Declaring "Getting Healthier is our Common Language," Anytime Fitness gyms in more than 30 countries are urging people in their respective communities to work out together, on or before World Health Day, April 7th. Participants who upload photos of themselves with #GetToAHealthierPlace may appear in a video, featuring photos from all around the world, a week or two later.
Another VIDEO, promoting the World Health Day workouts, was recently produced in and around Anytime Fitness gyms in 12 countries: Australia, China, England, Hong Kong, India, Italy, Malaysia, Mexico, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Singapore and Spain.
EXERCISE ANYWHERE, ANYTIME, EVERYONE
"This celebration of World Health Day is not just for Anytime Fitness members," said Mortensen. "We're encouraging members and non-members alike to work out together wherever and whenever they like – with whomever they choose. What we're saying is exercise doesn't discriminate. It's good for everyone and it's more fun when you do it with a friend. In fact, it's a great way to make new friends."
