Gibraltar's G-FORCE M50 Post & Beam Fence gains M50 P1 Certification
G-FORCE M50 Post & Beam Fence receives ASTM F2656-07 M50 P1 Certification
MARBLE FALLS, Texas, Jan. 11, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Gibraltar, a leading manufacturer of high tension cable barrier systems and anti-ram vehicle barriers used across the globe has announced the newest addition to its anti-vehicle barrier line. The G-FORCE M50 Post & Beam was tested on December 20, 2016 and has received M50 P1 certification to the ASTM F2656-07 test method. The anti-terrorist fence system stopped the 15,000 lbs. test vehicle traveling at 50 mph in a recent crash test performed by a certified independent testing laboratory. The barrier stopped the vehicle for an impact designation of M50 P1.
"We believe this anti-ram fence system will save installers time and labor when compared to traditional cable systems in the marketplace, thus lowering the costs for end-users," says Jim Castello, President of Gibraltar Material Distribution, L.P.
This anti-ram fence is a great option for military bases, airports, prisons, refineries, chemical facilities, power plants, industrial sites, etc. that need hardening of their perimeter to prevent vehicles from entering.
Castello went on to say, "The successful testing of this product gives Gibraltar the opportunity to offer an anti-ram fence solution for any situation. The Post & Beam Fence, along with our Brace & Beam and Combination Fence systems gives us three different M50 P1 certified fence options for clients around the world." The Post & Beam system is patent pending.
The G-FORCE Series of anti-ram crash fences is a key component of Gibraltar's perimeter anti-vehicle barrier portfolio, which includes offerings of crash certified anti-ram crash gates, wedge barriers, bollards, and vertical lift barriers.
