Gigatone Launches myRecordFantasy Event

SACRAMENTO, Calif. and NEW YORK, Aug. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Gigatone Entertainment, a next generation entertainment company based in Sacramento and Hollywood announced the launch of the first in a series of myRecordFantasy recording events allowing fans the opportunity to be a part of the making of a new album from a renowned artist.  The premiere event, being held August 2-4th in Sacramento features Monkees lead singer Micky Dolenz. Micky's forthcoming release, "King For A Day" is a tribute to legendary songwriter Carole King and his first release in over 15 years.

During the myRecordFantasy event, fans will be afforded the once-in-a-lifetime chance to be part of the making of the album. These lucky fans will be in the studio with Micky, and will be able to audition to actually perform on the album. Each fan will be also be credited as an Executive Producer on the album project.

myRecordFantasy, being held at the Track Shack Studios in Sacramento, will take place over a three-day period and feature in-studio auditions, recording, and evening jam sessions on location. In addition, the in studio recording provides the fan with a unique, up close perspective of how an album is created. Fans are also treated to surprise guest appearances by Micky's musical peers and hit makers. The event culminates in a one-of-a-kind, VIP-only final concert featuring the artist and musical guests.

In addition to myRecordFantasy with Micky Dolenz August 2-4th, 2010, the company has scheduled myRecordFantasy events with renowned Starship lead singer Mickey Thomas October 18-20th, 2010, and with Rock icon and Producer Todd Rundgren January 17-19th, 2011 in Sacramento.
