Gila Regional Medical Center Extends Relationship with Phoenix Health Systems for Managed Data Center and Advanced Recovery Services

DALLAS, Dec. 1, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Phoenix Health Systems, a premier provider of integrated information technology (IT) outsourcing and consulting services for healthcare organizations, announced today that Gila Regional Medical Center (GRMC), Silver City, NM, has extended its contract for both Managed Data Center and Advanced Recovery services for four more years.

Phoenix will continue to provide GRMC with server management, network services, and advanced recovery services utilizing Phoenix's state-of-the-art Network Monitoring Facility at its Leveraged Service Center in Dallas, TX and infrastructure and recovery services through two SunGard Availability Services facilities in Dallas, TX and Scottsdale, AZ.  The services provided by Phoenix allow fast, redundant and secure access to GRMC's health data, including their HIMSS Stage 6 certified Electronic Health Record system.  Without the need to focus on infrastructure and availability, the GRMC IT team has more resources to meet the IT needs of clinicians and hospital personnel to support care delivery and the organization's business objectives.
