Give Lively Partners with Change to Power California Charitable Registration and Renewals

New easy-to-navigate filing experience helps nonprofits maintain good standing under California AB 488 and continue fundraising through Give Lively

SAN FRANCISCO, Sept. 9, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Give Lively, the pioneering fundraising platform that is free for nonprofits, today announced a partnership with Change, a technology company specializing in charitable compliance and donation infrastructure. Through the service, Give Lively member nonprofits can register or renew their California charitable registration through Change, helping them maintain good standing and eligibility to fundraise through the Give Lively platform.

California requires charities operating or soliciting in the state to register with the Attorney General's Registry of Charities and Fundraisers and maintain ongoing reporting. Under California Assembly Bill 488, charitable fundraising platforms may only solicit for charities that are in good standing in California and with the IRS, making registration status an increasingly important part of online fundraising.

Access to the filing service begins with a simple link – no barriers, no bureaucracy. Nonprofits then create a Change account and complete a straightforward California questionnaire. From there, Change uses AI-enabled automation to manage the filing workflow end-to-end, including preparation, validation, submission, and status updates, making the California registration process faster and easier for nonprofits.
