About The W3 Project

In 2011, employees at FiltersFast.com started raising money by walking throughout the day. When treadmill desk company, Trekdesk, caught wind of this they decided to join in and help sponsor.

After the success of this walking fundraiser, FiltersFast.com knew they wanted to give the money to an organization that was making a difference. After a few phone calls and a site visit from Wine To Water, the W3 Project was formed with the united commitment to helping end the global water crisis.

Why the Global Water Crisis?

• 2.1 billion people are not able to access clean water easily
• 2.4 billion people lack access to improved sanitation 
• Contaminated water is the #1 killer of children under the age of 5

About Wine To Water

Wine To Water is a concept that was dreamed up by Doc Hendley. Doc spent some time living in Sudan installing water systems in communities that were victims of government-supported genocide. After three years of volunteering and bringing water to those who desperately needed it, Doc launched Wine To Water with the sole purpose of providing clean water to people around the world.

Wine To Water's work goes beyond supplying communities and individuals with wells and filters; they also educate and empower them. They allow the community members to assist in building the wells, showing them how to repair it, and teaching them about the importance of clean water and sanitation.

Since its inception, Wine To Water has worked in over 314 communities and has provided over 729,000 people with access to clean water.

Why make a Contribution?

While there have been many advances in filtration and sanitation all over the world, there are still communities that are suffering. Women and children must walk several miles each day to retrieve water for their families. Water is the source of life; no one can live without it. When a community lacks access to clean water, there is more illness, famine, and starvation. More kids miss school due to water-related illness and without access to clean water and improved sanitation, the community will not be able to grow and flourish. A single $1 can provide an individual with access to clean water for a year.
