SAN FRANCISCO, Nov. 15, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Conifer Financial Services LLC (Conifer), a leading independent provider of fund administration and middle office services to the asset management industry, achieved record client scores for the fourth year in a row in the 2016 Global Custodian Hedge Fund Administration Survey. Conifer is one of the few hedge funds administrators to receive two scores of a perfect seven, the highest possible in the survey.
Now in its 21st year, the Global Custodian survey scored 30 fund administrators based on over 1,000 client responses. Conifer has seen an increase in five out of eight categories scored this year and achieves global outperformer status. Global Custodian is the leading industry survey for Fund Administrators.
Conifer received a perfect score of seven in two categories, the first in Administration Services; specifically, the ability to conduct meetings (annual, extraordinary and board). The second is for effectiveness in supporting funds of funds. Conifer had several other categories scored above 6.0 (considered very good) among these was the ability to support multiple prime broker relationships.
Accompanying the survey's numerical results were comments from Conifer's respondents, many of which highlighted the firm's premier client services. One fund manager referred to Conifer as "extremely professional, trustworthy and responsive" while another client remarked that Conifer has adapted well to its specialized portfolio: "We are a very unusual fund that holds only tangible property and cash. Conifer has done an excellent job of adapting its systems to our unique requirements."
"2016 has been an important year for Conifer. Conifer's exclusive focus on fund services (having sold our broker dealer in 2015) allows us to dedicate all our time and resources on further developing our core administration business," commented Jack McDonald, Conifer's CEO. "With industry demands increasing for additional services and technology, Conifer is better positioned than ever before to exceed our client's expectations."
