Global Hunter Securities Charity Trading Day Supporting Veterans And The National Foundation For Veteran Redeployment

NEW YORK, April 1, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Global Hunter Securities, LLC (GHS), a full-service investment bank focusing on natural resources-related sectors, will hold a charity trading day to raise money for the National Foundation for Veteran Redeployment (NFVR) on April 18, 2013.

GHS and NFVR will host veterans on its New York trading floor. Commissions on trades from clients will be donated to support NFVR's career placement programs. For every $3,500 in donated commissions, NFVR can train, place and mentor one unemployed veteran.

The event is part of NFVR's Energizer campaign, which is focused on placing unemployed Iraq and Afghanistan war veterans into careers in the oil and gas industry. It is estimated that the unemployment rate among veterans under the age of 25 exceeds 20% nationally. Since inception, NFVR has placed approximately 100 unemployed veterans into new career opportunities that pay between $30,000 and $80,000 per year.
