Global Hunter Securities Expands Research Team With Additions of Senior Analysts Wayne Atwell, Natasha Boyden, and Curtis Trimble

NEW ORLEANS, May 22, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Independent investment bank Global Hunter Securities, LLC today announced that it has expanded its research team with the hiring of Wayne Atwell as Managing Director and Senior Coal & Mining Analyst, Natasha Boyden as Managing Director and Senior Shipping Analyst, and Curtis Trimble as Director and Senior E&P Analyst.  With these additions, GHS enhances its coverage of its core focus areas of energy, metals & mining and shipping.

Mr. Atwell joins GHS with four decades of experience covering companies in the natural resources industries. He has spent more than two decades focused on non-ferrous metals and steel for Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley. He is an Institutional Investor ranked sell-side analyst and has visited over 230 mines and 300 steel mills in his career. Mr. Atwell holds an MBA from New York University and a bachelor of science in mineral economics from Penn State University.

Ms. Boyden joins GHS with over a decade of experience in shipping and transportation research. Ms. Boyden was most recently a senior managing director of equity research covering marine transportation at Cantor Fitzgerald. She received numerous awards in her career, including Wall Street Journal's "Best on the Street" and FT/Starmine top analyst rankings.  Ms. Boyden holds a bachelor of arts honor degree in economic and social history from the University of Bristol, United Kingdom.

Mr. Trimble joins GHS with over a decade of experience in equity research. Prior to joining GHS, Mr. Trimble was a managing director of U.S. exploration and production equity research at MKM Partners and Natixis Bleichroeder as an analyst in US exploration and production equity research. Mr. Trimble received several industry awards in his career, including Wall Street Journal's "Best on the Street" and Starmine-Forbes Analyst Awards. Mr. Trimble holds an MBA in finance from Rice University and a bachelor of arts in public policy from Swarthmore College.
