Global Products on Display at the Western China International Fair Import and Export Expo

CHENGDU, China, Sept. 14, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- The 2nd Western China International Fair Import and Export Expo and Western China (Sichuan) International Investment Conference ("Expo" or "Conference") will be held in Chengdu from September 15 to 18. As of now, 39 countries and regions have applied for the exhibition, representing a dramatic increase compared with the last session. Distinctive exhibition activities in varied forms will be carried out. During the Expo, thematic exhibitions will be held, including the 3rd Anniversary Exhibition on JETRO-Sichuan Strategic Cooperation Agreement and the Exhibition for the 20th Anniversary of Establishment of Hong Kong SAR Government. In addition, seven countries and regions such as Iceland, Morocco, UAE and the Philippines, 11 Pacific Islands and Taiwan will promote local tourism and characteristic airline services.

The Expo works well with globalization, mainly focusing on countries along the Belt and Road, highlighting key competitive industries of Sichuan Province and boosting the economic exchange and cooperation in all aspects.

Based on abundant resources and industrial advantages of Sichuan, relevant departments and cities (prefectures) directly governed by Sichuan organize industries and enterprises to exhibit products from fields such as aerospace, electronic information, equipment manufacturing, intelligent manufacturing, biological medicine, rail transit, new energy, new material, tourism & health, Sichuan's technological achievements, international cooperation projects, international technology transfer, park construction and inspection and quarantine.

The exhibition area for China (Sichuan) Pilot Free Trade Zone will vigorously promote supporting facilities for foreign trade, financial service, logistics and settlement policies of the free trade zone. The parallel-import car exhibition area will fully display the results regarding logistics development of Sichuan's ports and the development trend of parallel-import car industry. The Expo is more professional in layout of exhibition areas, covering industrial cooperation, commodity trade and trade in service. The purchase-supply matchmaking exhibition will be focused on. Based on key categories of exhibits, targeted domestic and overseas purchasers will be invited to participate in the exhibition, including importers and exporters, supermarkets and malls, investment organizations, e-commerce platforms, agents and industrial associations. The main forum of the purchasers' conference has set a record in terms of scale. Representatives from more than 10 countries will attend.
