Global Spectrum, Delaware North Companies and International Sports Executive Ray Lalonde Join GTA Centre Project

MARKHAM, Ontario, Sept. 20, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- W. Graeme Roustan, Chairman and CEO of GTA Sports and Entertainment (GTASE), announced today that Global Spectrum, a subsidiary of Comcast-Spectacor and a worldwide leader in venue management, Delaware North Companies, a global leader in hospitality and food service, and Ray Lalonde, an international sports executive with the NBA, NHL and CFL, have joined the Markham-based team of professionals on this extraordinary project.

Global Spectrum has been advising GTASE for the past two years on all initial arena planning matters. They will officially become the manager and operator of the GTA Centre once construction is completed. Global Spectrum currently manages the Wells Fargo Center, home of the NHL's Philadelphia Flyers and NBA's 76ers, and is the largest private venue management company in Canada, providing superior operations to several Ontario venues, including the Budweiser Gardens, the GM Centre, the new Mattamy Athletic Centre at Ryerson University, and the WFCU Centre in Windsor. Global Spectrum is owned by Ed Snider, a member of the Executive Committee of the NHL Board of Governors and owner of the Philadelphia Flyers.

Ray Lalonde has held senior roles with the NBA in New York, Geneva and Paris, with the NHL's Montreal Canadiens as Chief Marketing and Sales Officer, and in the CFL as President of the Montreal Alouettes. Lalonde will be the lead advisor on commercial rights and business operations efforts for the GTA Centre.
