HOLLYWOOD, Fla., Feb. 1, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Global Technology Solutions (GTS), a Hollywood, Florida-based leading edge technology solution provider for security, wireless and communications applications, today announced the development of a new facility, an internal appointment to the Zetron Technical Advisory Council, and multiple new contract awards.

GTS is pleased to announce it has started construction on a new facility being developed in Hawthorne, New Jersey to meet the expansion and growth needs of the company. This new state of the art technology center will include a world class conference center and training facility, as well as dedicated office space, showcase, demonstration and staging areas for GTS.

In other news, GTS was honored to have their Division Vice President and Sales Engineer Cliff Conti chosen as one of the Inaugural members of the Zetron Technical Advisory Council. Last November, Conti and only a select few other Zetron resellers from across North and South America were flown to Zetron's headquarters in Redmond, Washington for a two-day meeting with the top Zetron Management, Engineering, and Sales teams to evaluate and improve features for existing and upcoming products in their 911 and other Public Safety communications offerings.

GTS has recently been awarded Co-Operative Purchasing Contracts from both Morris County and Cranford, New Jersey, which allows GTS access to offer their entire portfolio of technology and services to 366 government agencies.

GTS (through our Latin American operations office) has been invited to present to the Legislative Branch of the Colombian government in February to discuss both airport and homeland security.

GTS and Motorola have teamed up to deploy several exciting large-scale wireless projects in South/Central Florida.

GTS has recently won many public safety contracts, which include Riviera Beach, Florida, Highland Beach, Florida, New London, Connecticut, Pleasantville, New Jersey and the Mahwah, New Jersey Police Department e-ticketing deployment.

GTS entered into a Partnering Agreement with a leading provider of public safety incident response and management software to provide Mobile Computing Hardware, Mobile Digital Video Systems and Installation services throughout the East Coast.

GTS, through our partnerships with IPS and Unified Edge, has been invited to deploy our technology products and assist in communications interoperability for Super Bowl XLV in Arlington, Texas.

GTS (through our Latin American operations office) is working on a significant high-level security project for a government agency located in the Caribbean.

GTS (a Motorola Manufacturers Representative) was recently awarded a major mobile/data upgrade project by the largest shipping container operation at the Port of New York and New Jersey.

GTS has been awarded numerous new enterprise projects to include Credit Suisse, the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, University of Massachusetts, Cal State University, New Jersey Water Authority, and the Children's Hospital of Pennsylvania.

For the third consecutive year, GTS staff was invited to present at IWCE 2011 (International Wireless Communication Expo) College of Technology as subject matter experts in funding solutions to deploy voice and data communication systems.

GTS was recently awarded a high-tech military-related technology project for the Colombia Defense Ministry.
