Retail Design Community Ranks "Hottest" Retailers and "Brands to Watch"
ATLANTA, Jan. 11, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- GlobalShop, the nation's largest community for retail design and shopper marketing, today announced its first rating of the country's retailers.
The list looks at retailers' commitment to brick and mortar store design, expansion, shopper marketing and visual merchandising. Those retailers on the ones to watch list demonstrate a commitment to leading edge retail technology and design, and more importantly, continue to grow their footprints in new markets and regions.
The list was compiled by industry veterans, including GlobalShop Founder Doug Hope, Alison Medina, Executive Editor, design:retail magazine and others from the design:retail editorial team.

"What is particularly interesting to note about the Brands to Watch is that most cater to a younger millennial audience. While the buzz is often about e-tailing, the savvy retailers are watching their audiences and giving them the retail experience and connectivity that they crave," said Doug Hope, founder and show director, GlobalShop.
The Hottest Retailers list is based on projected and announced store openings, company financials and overall store experience and design equity with today's shopper.
"These hot retailers are investing in new stores and existing, and bring store design to the top of the equation when creating their brick-and-mortar footprints," said Alison Embrey Medina, executive editor, design:retail. "They are not only high-output in terms of sales, but are focused on designing innovative, thoughtful and disruptive stores that are exciting and relevant to today's discerning shopper."
