GOFO Launches Mailbox Parcel Delivery Service in the Netherlands, Setting a New Standard for Letterbox Delivery

AMSTERDAM, Oct. 14, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- GOFO, a technology-driven global last-mile delivery carrier, is expanding its product portfolio in the Netherlands with GOFO Mailbox Parcel, available from October 14, 2026. Designed for compact e-commerce orders, the service combines cost-effective delivery with next-working-day delivery, real-time tracking, and photo POD (Proof of Delivery).

Letterbox Convenience, Enhanced Delivery Visibility

GOFO Mailbox Parcel accommodates parcels measuring up to 38 × 26.5 × 3.2 cm and weighing up to 2 kg. Parcels are delivered directly through the letterbox, so recipients do not need to be at home. The service combines the convenience of letterbox delivery with next-working-day delivery, real-time tracking, and photo POD, a combination that remains uncommon in the mailbox delivery segment. Every successful delivery is documented with at least two photos, giving merchants a clear delivery record to help resolve delivery issues.

"E-commerce merchants are shipping a growing number of small, lightweight orders while facing continued pressure on margins. Every euro spent on delivery matters, and choosing a delivery service that matches the size of the parcel can make a meaningful difference," said Luoying Wu, Product Manager at GOFO Netherlands. "With GOFO Mailbox Parcel, we are expanding our portfolio to give merchants a delivery option better suited to smaller orders, helping them manage shipping costs while maintaining the visibility they need to support their customers."

Proven Performance on an Established Network

Built on GOFO's existing Dutch delivery network, the service underwent a one-month pilot, during which GOFO Mailbox Parcel achieved a next-working-day delivery rate of 98.5%.

"We've been very pleased with the reliability of the service and the fact that orders usually arrive at our customers' homes the next working day," said the COO at DHS Services. "For our small parcels in particular, delivery costs directly affect our margins. GOFO Mailbox Parcel fits seamlessly into our existing shipping process at a much lower cost per shipment. With tracking and photo POD, our team can respond to customer enquiries quickly."
