Going introduces Price Drop tracking for members, saving $150 when a lower fare is found

The new feature watches prices on already-booked flights, alerting members when to rebook or confirming they secured the best available fare

NEW YORK, Sept. 23, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Going, the flight deals app that has helped more than 10 million travelers save on airfare since 2015, today announced Price Drop, a new feature that saves members money and gives them peace of mind after they book. It works by watching a member's flight price and alerting them when prices fall – those who've used it and found a lower fare have saved around $150 per ticket.

"Travelers have always faced the trade-off of waiting for the perfect deal or committing and hoping they got it right," said Going CEO David Krauter. How it works

Going has been finding great flight deals for members since 2015. Now, with Price Drop, that same tracking continues after booking. The feature is free for Premium and Elite members, who can add up to five booked flights for Going to monitor. If the price drops at least 10% below the booked fare, Going alerts the member with the dollar amount and clear instructions on how to claim the savings, typically issued as airline credit toward a future flight rather than a cash refund.

Members are already seeing the difference. "The current fare was $298 less than what I booked!" one Going member wrote.

Price Drop builds on what Going learned from Trips, the flight alert feature it launched in 2025 for members who haven't booked yet. Trips watches fares and tells members when prices drop or rise, whether they're high, low, or typical compared with historical pricing, and then recommends whether it's worth booking now or waiting.

Methodology: In a survey of Going members conducted from August 27, 2025 to April 25, 2026, 95% of respondents said they worry about booking their flight at the right time to get the best price, with more than 70% saying it's "always" or "usually" a concern. Answer options were randomized where applicable.

What Price Drop watches: round-trip cash fares booked with a single airline, in any fare class, excluding low-cost carriers (LCCs). When a fare drops, Going tells the member how much and exactly how to rebook. Whether the airline allows the change comes down to its fare rules (basic economy, for instance, usually can't be changed after the first 24 hours), and recovered savings typically come back as airline credit toward a future flight rather than cash. When a rebook isn't possible, Going says so and points to whatever options are left.
