Goldberg Jones Attorney Daniel Warren Becomes A Certified Family Law Specialist

In order to become a Certified Family Law Specialist, an attorney undergoes a long, intricate process. He or she must be an active member of the State Bar of California, and over the course of five years, an attorney must spend 25% of their professional time practicing family law. There is also an extensive written exam to pass, 45 hours of continuing education to complete, and the applicant must submit peer references. The test in given once every two years, and only a fraction of attorneys who apply for the Certified Family Law Specialist designation actually receive the title.

Once an attorney earns the Certified Family Law Specialist label, the process doesn't end. Every few years, attorneys must continue to hone their skills by completing approved training and applying for recertification.
