Golden 1 Credit Union Announces Enhanced Branch and Financial Resource Center in Chico

New community resource offers financial education, personalized guidance and trusted banking services to the region

CHICO, Calif., Sept. 30, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Golden 1 Credit Union (Golden 1) is expanding financial access and support in the Chico region with the launch of its newest Branch and Financial Resource Center. Located at the site of its existing Chico Branch, the enhanced Chico Branch and Financial Resource Center will provide community members with convenient access to banking services, financial education, and personalized support in one place.

The Chico Branch and Financial Resource Center brings together everyday banking services with free financial education resources and individualized support tailored to the community's evolving needs. In addition to Golden 1's full suite of banking services, the location will offer expanded financial education, one-on-one guidance and community-focused programming on topics including budgeting, credit building, debt management, and homeownership, among other topics.

The Chico Branch and Financial Resource Center will support Golden 1's collaboration with local organizations and institutions focused on the financial well-being of Butte County and its residents. Through community partnerships and educational programming, the Branch and Financial Resource Center will serve as a space where Chico and Butte County can access resources to achieve their financial goals, connect with one another and build community.

As part of its commitment to helping build financial confidence, the Chico Branch and Financial Resource Center will host a workshop on fraud prevention and scam awareness on Tuesday, October 6. The workshop is free and open to the public. Attendees will receive practical tips for recognizing common scams and strategies for protecting their finances.

Golden 1's Chico Branch and Financial Resource Center is located at 239 W. 2nd St., Suite 1, Chico, CA 95928 and is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Community members interested in attending a workshop can schedule an appointment online.
