Golden Meditech Shareholders Approves of Name Change

HONG KONG, March 15 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- Golden Meditech Holdings Limited ("Golden Meditech" or "the Group"; Stock Code: 801), China's leading integrated healthcare device and service enterprise, is pleased to announce today that the Group's shareholders (the "Shareholders") have approved at an Extraordinary General Meeting (the "EGM") held today, a special resolution as proposed by the board of directors ("the Board") to change the Group's name into "Golden Meditech Holdings Limited."

The Group's diversified business portfolio currently includes the core and wholly-owned operation of Beijing Jingjing Medical Equipment Co., Ltd., renowned as China's first and largest manufacturer of autologous blood recovery device, and a hospital management arm that is the first foreign-owned entity in China to offer nationwide hospital management and consultancy services. In addition, the Group also has a majority stake in China Cord Blood Corporation (NYSE: CO), the first and largest cord blood bank operator in China, and FunTalk China Holdings Limited (NDAQ: FTLK), a thriving fast-moving consumer electronics goods retailer in China.
