Gonzalez Saggio & Harlan Strengthens Public Finance Practice With Addition to New York Office

MILWAUKEE, May 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Gonzalez Saggio & Harlan LLP, one of the nation's largest minority-owned law firms, announced today that Stephen J. Adnopoz joins the firm's expanding public finance practice as a partner.

With more than 25 years experience in public finance, Mr. Adnopoz has represented public authorities, underwriters and purchasers of municipal securities, borrowers, providers of credit enhancement and trustees, as well as serving as bond, transaction and disclosure counsel in hundreds of financings with an aggregate value exceeding $10 billion.

Mr. Adnopoz has served as counsel in transactions from coast-to-coast, with a special emphasis on New York State issuers, serving as bond counsel and/or underwriter's counsel to most statewide issuers of municipal debt as well as more than 17 New York industrial development agencies. He has a keen understanding of the behind-the-scenes workings of an investment bank based on his recent experience as in-house counsel for a leading bulge bracket broker-dealer.

Mr. Adnopoz received a J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law and an A.B., cum laude, with distinction, from Dartmouth College. He is a member of the National Association of Bond Lawyers and the Municipal Forum of New York, has served as a faculty member for ABA CLE programs, a panelist at workshops and seminars on municipal bonds, and has helped states and municipalities create economic development programs.

Mr. Adnopoz is licensed to practice in New York and Connecticut. He will practice from the firm's office in New York City alongside noted tax authority and Gonzalez Saggio & Harlan partner C. Willis Ritter.
