Gordon Brothers Group Announces 20th Annual Charity Golf Tournament

BOSTON, June 27, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Gordon Brothers Group, a global advisory, restructuring and investment firm specializing in the retail, consumer products, industrial and real estate sectors, announced the 20th Annual Charity Golf Tournament will take place on July 15th at the Pinehills Golf Club in Plymouth, MA.

The annual tournament benefits The Philip and Bernice Frieze Fund at Children's Hospital Boston, which provides support to families coping with the serious illness of a child and helps ease some of the associated financial burden. Support comes in the form of housing, utility, food and transportation assistance. Since the tournament's inception in 1994, it has raised $2.5 million for The Philip and Bernice Frieze Fund.

"This year's tournament marks the 20th year of our company's sponsorship of a cause spearheaded by my parents, Phil and Bernice Frieze, over 40 years ago. Each year we look forward to the opportunity to help alleviate the pressure on patients and their families as they face not only serious illness, but in many cases, financial strain."
