Gov. Scott Appoints Dr. Nicholas M. Kavouklis, D.M.D. to Board of Dentistry

TAMPA, Fla., Nov. 14, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- On Wednesday, Oct. 25, Governor Rick Scott announced the appointment of Dr. Nicholas M. Kavouklis, D.M.D. ("Dr. Nick") to the Florida Board of Dentistry. He fills a vacant seat and is appointed for a term beginning Oct. 25, 2017, and ending Oct. 31, 2018.

The Florida Board of Dentistry plays a leading role in the State's ever-changing health care environment. This is accomplished through communications with the public, legislature, dental colleges, the dental community, and through taking active roles in national dental organizations.

Dr. Nick has a diverse background of experience and a proven successful record with clinical, entrepreneurial and professional activities in the fields of dentistry, vision, insurance and managed-care cost containment. He has served as chairman for peer review and as an expert witness and testimony for the Florida Department of Profession Regulations.
