PHOENIX, Nov. 7, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Grand Canyon University has completed the transition of its online students to LoudCloud Systems' groundbreaking learning management system that uses the latest technologies to address the needs of today's learner.
Grand Canyon and LoudCloud collaborated on the creation of this learning system, which was completed in late 2011. Since then, Grand Canyon has been migrating its online students program by program; now more than 44,000 online students benefit from the LoudCloud learning platform. The learning management system is part of LoudCloud System's Learning Ecosystem, which incorporates mobility, social and collaborative technologies, adaptive learning and predictive analytics.
"It is vital that we continue to invest in leading technology that increases the quality of education for our students," said Brian Mueller, GCU President. "The LoudCloud system is flexible and engaging and gives our students a highly personalized learning experience. It provides us with the learning analytics to ensure student success and continually monitor our learning outcomes."
Grand Canyon and LoudCloud are working together to evaluate and improve the system analytics to enhance their value. An iPad version is also being deployed to help meet students' mobile needs.
"I've been very pleased with LoudCloud's performance on such a significant scale," said Joe Mildenhall, GCU's Chief Information Officer. "All of our existing online students transitioned to the system easily because of its intuitive design, which increases student productivity and performance, as well as the engagement between teachers and students."
Grand Canyon now plans to transition its approximately 6,500 traditional campus-based students to the LoudCloud system in the coming year.
"We are delighted with the successful implementation of our Learning Ecosystem at Grand Canyon University," said Manoj Kutty, CEO of LoudCloud Systems. "In less than one year, we migrated over 44,000 students, faculty and more than 750 online courses. More importantly, we have succeeded in deploying a completely new personalized teaching and learning system offering advanced analytics and workflow innovations."
