Greater Washington Hispanic Chamber Of Commerce (GWHCC) Announces the Agenda for Its 35th Annual Gala
June 10, 2011, At The Mandarin Oriental Hotel
WASHINGTON, May 26, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- More than 250 leaders from Latin American embassies, local government, nonprofits, corporations and small businesses have confirmed their attendance to the GWHCC 35th Annual Gala. This year's celebration is special for our community not only for the number of years that the organization has been in place, but also for the positive news about surging entrepreneurship among Latinos. The Chamber has mirrored this growth by increasing its membership to almost 200 members.
The Annual Gala is the Chamber's most important fundraising initiative and serves as an opportunity for the Chamber to highlight the importance and influence of the burgeoning Hispanic business community in the DC Metropolitan area and to showcase the Chamber's accomplishments with all stakeholders. A networking reception will kick off the night, followed by a program to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the Chamber. The program will also honor the life and legacy of Will Soza, a pioneer and leader in the local Hispanic business community. The program will be followed by dinner, live music and dance. The band 809 will be playing jazz, salsa, merengue and other Latin rhythms. Exclusive goods will be auctioned throughout the night, including airline tickets, hotel stays and art pieces.
