In this talk we will take a broad survey of the lifecycle of device development and examine security aspects at each step of the way. We will discuss the importance of a zero-exposure security infrastructure to manufacture secure devices in today's complex supply chains. We will also look at techniques for architecting secure systems with a focus on software components and separation.

In booth #966, Green Hills Software will offer interesting presentations and demonstrations:

Securing the Internet of Things
Designing and manufacturing a secure device is more complex than would at first appear and building on a secure foundation is critical. A separation architecture as provided by the Green Hills INTEGRITY® RTOS provides that foundation and allows the secure separation of security-critical and non-secure components within a single device. This IoT demonstration showcases Bluetooth real-time sensor integration with a TI SensorTag device, through a Qt-based HMI.

Secure Devices and Supply Chains
Create, distribute and authenticate secure assets in devices and throughout the manufacturing supply chain.

• Protect keys and digitally sign software and data to ensure your product stays trusted
• Secure boot software signing to detect software and data
• Flexible profiles compatible with leading hardware security formats
• Hardened protection of signing keys from breach and misuse
