Greenberg Traurig Strengthens Capital Markets and Finance Practices in Mexico

Firm Adds Two Shareholders and Two Associates

MEXICO CITY, Sept. 23, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP strengthened its Capital Markets and Finance practices in its Mexico office with the addition of Guillermo Uribe Lara and Adrián Gay Lasa as shareholders, and Jorge E. González and Carlos Guijarro as associates.

With these additions, Greenberg Traurig Mexico now has 31 shareholders, four of counsel, and more than 90 legal professionals, further strengthening the firm's ability to meet clients' growing needs and the increasing sophistication of the Mexican market.

Guillermo has deep experience advising sponsors and investors in banking and securities law, capital markets, structured finance, and syndicated loans. He previously held senior roles at Mexico's National Banking and Securities Commission (CNBV), where he contributed to key securities regulations and market structures, including CKDs and MexDer. His practice focuses on advising issuers, financial institutions and brokerage firms on complex capital markets transactions, in particular publicly listed Real Estate Trusts (FIBRAs). He earned a Law degree from the Escuela Libre de Derecho and a Professional Certificate in U.S. Capital Markets from the New York Institute of Finance.

Adrián focuses his practice on capital markets, structured finance, true-sale lending, real estate transactions, hospitality, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate matters. He has deep experience in FIBRAs, representing more than half of capital markets transactions in this sector, CKDs, CERPIs, SPACs, cross-border securitizations, and structured credit facilities for real estate, hospitality, and infrastructure projects, including public-private partnerships. He earned a Law degree from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México and an LL.M. from The University of Texas School of Law.

Jorge advises domestic and foreign companies and financial institutions on financial and corporate transactions, including public offerings, structured loans, and financing structures for real estate, hospitality, and infrastructure projects. He holds a Law degree from the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey and he hold a master's degree in financial law Institutions from Universidad Panamericana.

Carlos focuses on capital markets, real estate law, mergers and acquisitions, and general corporate matters. He has broad experience with proceedings before the CNBV, the Mexican Stock Exchange, and the Institutional Stock Exchange, as well as due diligence processes, secured and unsecured credit agreements, and day-to-day corporate matters. He holds a Law degree from the Universidad Iberoamericana.
