New Name Reflects Strength of Product Lines, Global Reach, and Scale

TORONTO, May 25, 2017 /PRNewswire/ - GreenField Specialty Alcohols, Inc., Canada's largest ethanol producer and a world leader in high-purity specialty alcohols, announced today it has changed its name to Greenfield Global. The name change reflects the company's broader product categories and its expertise in driving innovations to demonstrate and commercialize new biochemicals and biofuels.

"Today, we are the largest ethanol producer in Canada and a leading producer of many grades of specialty alcohols. But we also produce and sell numerous other products in markets around the world," said President and CEO Howard Field, who joined the company in 2014. "Our legacy name no longer fully described our company. We want to ensure that our brand accurately reflects the full scope of who we are, what we do, and where we're going."

As part of its rebranding, Greenfield Global also introduced a new logo and will change its domain address (email and website) to Greenfield.com. The new name and branding is effective immediately and will be implemented across the company's products and services throughout the calendar year and 2018. Greenfield Global's specialty alcohols and solvents brands "Commercial Alcohols" and "Pharmco-Aaper" will remain as they are leading, respected brands within their markets.
